25 October 2023 - Empowering Women in Rail: Expanding the talent pool

Australian rail needs to expand its workforce by 70,000 people over the next decade. To meet this target it will have to diversify as an industry, attracting more women at all levels and in all areas.

In our second 'Growing next gen rail skills' webinar we'll be sharing successful initiatives that have improved the way rail organisations attract, recruit, promote and keep female employees.

Presenters, Somoud Al Masri, who helped implement Jacobs’ Diversity and Inclusion program, Natalie Currey, manager of the Australasian Railway Association’s Women in Rail Strategy and Leah Sarra, a participant in the successful Women on Track initiative, will lead a discussion on how industry can encourage more women to start and progress a career in rail.
